Who is responsible, and how to reach us

The controller for the personal data processed on this website is Lakeside Health AG, Hauptstrasse 39, CH-8280 Kreuzlingen, Switzerland, UID CHE-197.939.111. arztagentur.ch is a brand of that company.

For any question about data protection, and to exercise your rights, write to info@arztagentur.ch. We have not appointed a data protection adviser under article 10 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP); the company handles your request itself.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the website arztagentur.ch and the enquiries that reach us through its forms.

We follow the revised FADP. For people in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may apply in addition; where it does, we follow its requirements too.

What data we process

The form for doctors: first and last name, email address, telephone number (optional), specialty, current level, country of residence, preferred region (optional), availability (optional), your message (optional), and your CV as a file if you upload one.

A CV usually holds further personal data, such as your training, your career so far, your date of birth and your address. What you put in it is your decision; a CV is not needed to make an enquiry and can be sent to us later.

The form for employers: institution and type of institution, first and last name of the contact person, role (optional), email address, telephone number (optional), the specialties you are looking for, the levels you are looking for (optional), the intended start date (optional) and your message (optional).

Both forms also ask for your consent to our using your details to handle your enquiry. The language you filled the form in is submitted as well, so that we can reply to you in that language.

Server logs: when the website is opened, our hosting provider records technical details, namely the IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested, and details of your browser and operating system (the user agent). These logs serve the operation and the security of the website.

This website runs no database. What you enter in a form is stored neither in a database nor in a log file: each enquiry is delivered as a single email to our mailbox, with the CV, if there is one, attached to that email. The server logs record only status information and error types, never form content.

Why we process it, and on what basis

We process your details in order to answer your enquiry, to accompany you through the placement process, and to find suitable positions or suitable candidates. We process the server logs for the security and reliable operation of the website.

Under Swiss law, processing personal data is permitted as long as the principles of the FADP are observed, in particular good faith, proportionality and purpose limitation. Where the GDPR applies in addition, we base the processing of your enquiry on your consent, and the disclosure of your documents to an institution on your express agreement in each case. For employers, we base the processing on entering into and performing the placement mandate. We base the processing of server logs on our legitimate interest in secure operation.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@arztagentur.ch. Processing carried out before the withdrawal remains lawful.

Who your data goes to

Your documents reach a hospital, clinic or practice only if you have expressly agreed to it in that particular case. We tell you beforehand which institution and which position it concerns, and you decide whether we may pass your details on.

Without that agreement, no employer learns that you are in touch with us. We do not contact your current employer, and we take up references only once you allow us to.

We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it on for advertising. We disclose data to authorities or courts only where the law obliges us to.

Employers who write to us should note that we handle their vacancy details in the same way: they serve the search for candidates and go no further without agreement.

Processors and transfers abroad

For hosting, for delivering the website and for audience measurement we use Vercel Inc. (USA). The server function that receives your form submission and triggers the email runs in the Frankfurt am Main region in Germany.

For sending the enquiry emails we use Resend, Inc. (USA). The content of your enquiry, and your CV if you attached one, is processed there and retained for the retention period set by that provider.

Our mailbox is provided by Google (Google LLC, USA). Google, too, processes the data as our processor; incoming enquiries are held in that mailbox.

These companies process the data as our processors, that is, only on our instructions and under a contractual duty of confidentiality.

Personal data may therefore reach the USA. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework if the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in the version recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Cookies, audience measurement and spam protection

This website sets no cookies. Your language choice is not stored in a cookie either; the language follows from the address you open.

For audience measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics. The service works without cookies and without a persistent identifier, does not follow you across other websites, and builds no profile of any individual. Only aggregated figures are analysed, such as how often a page was opened.

To keep out automated submissions, we use a form field that stays hidden from you and, when JavaScript is enabled, a minimum time for filling in the form. No captcha and no third-party service is involved.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry, and your CV if you sent one, in our mailbox for the duration of the placement process. After that we delete them, unless you would like us to keep you in mind for future positions; in that case we delete your documents at the latest two years after our last contact, or as soon as you withdraw your consent.

You may ask for deletion at any time. Write to info@arztagentur.ch. We delete your details unless a statutory retention duty stands in the way, in particular the commercial-law duty to retain business records.

Our hosting provider keeps the server logs for a limited time only and deletes them automatically afterwards.

Your rights

You have the right to be told whether we process personal data about you and, if so, which. You may also ask us to correct inaccurate data and to delete data, object to processing, and, where the legal conditions are met, ask for your data in a common electronic format or for it to be transferred to another organisation.

Write to info@arztagentur.ch to do so. So that we do not hand your data to the wrong person, we may need to satisfy ourselves who is asking. Exercising these rights normally costs you nothing.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can approach the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern. People in the European Economic Area may also approach their own supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our processing or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page, with the date given above, is the one that applies.
